I first encountered this water in Brooklyn two years ago at the Food & Film Fest under the Brooklyn Bridge. I meant to write down the brand so I could buy some, but forgot about it likely because of the free beer tastings.
Anyway, so last week my husband's best friend was in town and invited us out to dinner with his fiancee. We ended up going to the Red Canary and lo and behold, the cucumber water was served.
I had to figure out how to make it at home. You're gonna love it. It's so simple. And it's like eating a cucumber- the most refreshing thing ever.
Cucumber Sparkling Water
1 water carafe
1 bottle of your favorite sparkling water (you can even use tap, if you want)
3-5 slices of cucumber, skin on
Pour water into carafe, add cucumber slices. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Serve over ice. Garnish with a cucumber slice floating in the glass.

ReplyDeletei had a glass of cucumber water in a spa a few years ago and I thought that was the most refreshing water I've ever had. Thanks for reminding me that indeed I could put cucumber on my water to enliven the taste.
